A new day for Maryland Good Sam Club, member chapters

Posted Aug. 15, 2019, by Bob Klingberg, Director, Maryland Good Sam Club

This is a new day for the Maryland Good Sam Club. We are launching our redesigned website and have updated our Facebook presence. Be sure to update your links and stay in touch with us. We have a lot of things planned.

We hope these changes we’ve applied so far are indicative of how we are evolving as a club and how our members are important to us. Many features on the website were added with only our members in mind:

      • Member Chapters is our list of Maryland Good Sam Chapters who are part of the state club. You’ll see a generalized geographical description, and we’ll provide email, website and Facebook links if they are provided by the chapters.
      • Chapter Spotlight will feature one of our member chapters for one month. We’ll show you chapter photos and talk about what the chapter does, how it’s formed and how you can get in touch with the chapter president.
      • Calendar hosts our chapter events in an easy-to-use online calendar that you can view in a day, month or agenda view. We expanded the events list to include chapter campouts so if you’re nearby, you can stop and stay hello. We also list other events of interest so chapter members can ponder other things to do near your campout. We’ll also post fun things to remember, like National S’mores Day or Take a Hike Day. Email us if you have an idea.
      • Friends and Affiliates are just that: organizational connections that can benefit our members. They include links to federal and state park reservation systems and will highlight certain events from our friends.
      • Contact Us is a fill-in form where you can electronically talk to us. We will email or call you (your preference) and help you the best we can.

Perhaps one of the most important links is the 2019 Maryland Good Sam Club Rally/Samboree. This year’s rally is just around the corner, and we want you to sign up now. Our planning is in place, and you can see the full agenda, download and fill out the registration form, and show business owners you know our sponsorship page.

Our club is the sum of all its members, and we need you to be part of the overall group. To that end, this blog spot also is a place where clubs can submit blogs. We have an editor on staff that can help you with ideas and writing.

We hope you will interact with us. Laugh with us. Explore with us.

Feel free to email me to let us know how we are doing so far.

Bless you,

Bob
